Community Youth Empowerment Project (CYEP) project purpose: Fijian children and youth will have improved health and wellness as a result of increased access to effective health education and the adoption of healthy behaviors and lifestyles. This is accomplished through the project’s three goals:
1. Youth will adopt behaviors and practices in order to develop to their full potential and lead healthier, productive lifestyles.
2. Youth will engage in activities to promote healthy communities, such as leadership development, improved water sanitation and hygiene practices, communicable disease prevention, and environmental education principal and practices)
3. Parents and caregivers, service providers and organizations, will have increased capacity to develop positive relationships and promote healthy lifestyles with youth. (Includes training in use of technology and non-formal education methods).
