Peace Corps Holidays

Being out of country during holidays, for me, are the most dreaded days in my Peace Corps service. A time of love and laughter, shared with those whom you love and that love you in return, is spent idly watching from afar. An outsider, taking in love and laughter of a community you have integrated into, yet not entirely to the point that you are family. Holidays are often a time where I now want to run and hide under my covers. That is why when Easter came around on April 16th 2016, it was absolutely vital that I bring an American tradition to Fiji. Although this is a late post, this day brought me and those I shared it with, much happiness.
PEACE CORPS GOAL 2: Help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served.
