Life on Viti

It has been some time since I last posted. In fact, so long that I am now living a completely new life on a compeletely different island. Since December, I have moved to Viti Levu and am now posted in Korovou town in the government quarters.

I am currently working part time at Tailevu North College, teaching Family Life Education to year 9 and 10 students. The rest of the week, I am doing outreaches in the 66 different villages in Tailevu and working with the youth groups residing there.

While site is everything I could ask it to be [now], let me tell you that at first… I STRUGGLED. -The first month was a hard transition. Towns are already more isolating, and harder to find that close knit community that everyone talks about. Now imagine doing that times two. However, speed up to 8 months later, and I can’t imagine myself placed anywhere else. Yes, there are still days or weeks that are difficult. But for the majority, life is good.

Here is what I’ve been up to!
